The Valois

Aware of the need to protect and raise awareness about a endangered heritage rarely open to the public, several communes of the cantons of Crépy-en-Valois, Betz and Nanteuil-le-Haudouin have accepted, since 1973, to deposit the treasures of their churches in the Archery and Valois Museum.

This ensemble consisting of mostly wooden or stone statues, most often polychrome, dates from the 13th to the 20th century. It offers an outstanding overview of the Valois statuary, which is extremely precious and diverse. Among the deposited objects are also pieces of furniture and sacred vestments
